vCenter 6 Default Isolation Reponce

We are currently using vCenter 6 update 2 and see that our HA isolation reponce is set to Shutdown. But have read the default isolation response should be leave powered on. Our have been around for a while and has been through upgrade from 4.x and up. Is this old setting a carry over. We are using C.N.A / FC adapters with backend SAN

Way back when...... isolation response was set to a Default of Power Off.

The Default now is Leave Powered On.

Have you ever read Duncan Epping and Frank Denneman's HA and DRS Deepdive?

they've now released it for free

As a VMware Admin, and interest in VMware vSphere, it's a recommended read!

ASKER

I thought so, so are my setting which were not changed a result of all of the past upgrades???
It's possible, depends how often you've been upgrading, if nothing has ever been changed!

However the Default was Power Off.

Shutdown is not the same.
would you suggest changing this?
