Get it to hardware shop or contact your help desk as seems your hardisk is dead or some issue with that
Two things.

Boot into the Laptop's BIOS and check to see if the hard drive shows there.

Boot into the Laptop 's self diagnostics and run them to find out if this is a hardware or software fault.

If you need help with either of the above, then you will need to provide the name and model of your laptop, along with what operating system it was running..
Did you perhaps forget to remove a USB stick etc.? If not, your drive is not bootable for some reason.
I assume you are referring to DVD-ROM device. Many laptops dont have it nowadays. What you need to do is find out why this message is shown at all. Either you have a USB stick or SD card connected or your system got corrupted. The worst case is that you Hard Drive died. In this case a HDD replacement and system reinstall is needed. So check first if any device is connected. Then go to BIOS and see if the HDD is seen there.
Michelle, when asking a Question, please give enough info for us to know what you are talking about plse
start by telling us the system model you have, and OS - then we can see the possibilities
chances are your OS disk did become unbootable
possible reasons :
wrong bios setting
corrupt OS
bad disk drive
bad motherboard
