Office 365 Performance Issues

We are having issues with 64bit Office 365 (build 17.01.766.2092) whereby various applications will either freeze \ close unexpectedly. This affects Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. This is across an estate of Windows 7 and Windows 10 (All running 64bit OS).

Workstations are all at least i5 processors, 8GB RAM and SSD Hard Drives. All sites are covered by 100MB fibre connections and utilise a shared 100MB breakout to the internet - there are no bandwidth issues being experienced. We run on a Cloud install of 365 (No Hybrid or on premise servers)

On affected workstations, if another user logs in - all Office applications work as expected with no performance issues.

I have narrowed this down to a profile issue - and if the profile is deleted and the user logs back in - they do not encounter the same issues.

Can anyone assist in narrowing down why this is occurring, and what other avenues we can investigate to ensure that this is resolved?
