Job requirements - Is there an engineer who would meet all of these requirements
Hello, I'm curious, hence I ask you; Is there such a "recent college engineer", either software or hardware, or one that studied both, who would meet all of these requirements:
embedded Linux based data telecommunications system/ VoIP/SIP
satellite network application and
embedded software/ Firmware/embedded systems
automation scripting
Python
Java
Linux operating system/Linux Network expertise
Unix shell scripting
WEB GUI test automation
DO-178B experience
Satellite communication experience
Telecommunication experience/PBX switching systems
Any comments?
Do companies expect to find an "expert" engineer with all this knowledge?

Testing engineers require adaptability/quick learning, and potentially a familiarity with the underlying tech might be enough to perform/ ....testing
Versus the knowledge/skills necessary to set the same things up.

arnold, yes I understand, yet when you go interview they are at liberty to ask any question on these fields. If you do not know the answer, you limit your chances of getting the job.
serialband, yeah I know about the H1B technique. Your second comment; I believe that by law they have to advertise a position.

by:David Favor: To add to the humor, this job is posted as an Automation Test Engineer. Anyone knowing all of these technologies would be a “full blown” Engineer-Developer/Designe
by:Alex Green: I agree; they would “need 2 or 3 people for this role. It isn't going to happen with a "recent college engineer", and even with those that have some expirence.

by:arnold: You are right; “These days many small firms want quite a bit.” The problem is; not only gogo, but many other companies are posting job requirements that in my opinion (yours as well), can’t be filled by one engineer.
Points coming shortly. I am trying to apiece myself; not being able to meet these requirements. An engineer possibly could if given the opportunity to learn on the job; one subject matter at a time.
