Try making a copy of the company file to a local machine (copy, do not move).

Now try to open locally. If it opens, then QB, File, Utilities, Rebuild to fix the file. If all that work, restore the rebuilt file to the server. Keep the old backup as well until you know all is working.

Thanks for update. Now you only have one option left.

Contact Intuit, ask for their repair service and send them the file for repair. This is a cost service unless they cannot repair it.

I have used this service and it works

You may be able to restore an older backup, but then you would have to re-enter lost transactions. The repair service is better.

The fact that others can open it, does this not a indicator that file is ok?

Possibly.

First, have another user copy it locally and do a rebuild to ensure it is good.

Second, try the problem user on a completely different machine as it could be a Windows Profile or other like issue.

Third, delete the QB user and set up a new user account in QB for this user.

Will do so but just pointing out again that this same user on the same pc has no issue with all other qb file (about 50 files)

The steps I listed in order will help you get to a solution.

Rebuild is an inherently good idea at least quarterly for large files.

The other steps are just troubleshooting steps.
