LINQPad looks very promising, but once I browse for the .sdf and click on Test, it says &quot;Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider. &nbsp;It may not be installed.&quot; &nbsp;And if I go ahead and click OK, it shows it in the upper left corner under Add connection, but it has a red x to the left, and if you hover over it, that same error displays. &nbsp;<br />

Earlier I was getting an error about how this .sdf was created in an older version, and needed to upgraded--or something like that--but now I no longer seeing that error.<br />

Our customers use a handheld scanner using the Windows CE app, and their app has a SQL .sdf file with all their tables. &nbsp;I assume this is a special version of SQL for the compact environment--although I don't know that for sure. &nbsp;If I want to look at data in a table on the scanner, I can use a built-in SQL query program on the scanner.<br />
