Set NAS as destination for Time Machine backup
What are the correct methods for setting up a local NAS as the destination for holding Time Machine backups on a Mac OS Sierra v. 10.12.6 Mac?
The path where I would like to store these backups is 10.99.199.249.
I have typed in the following command within the terminal:
However, I receive the message "Failed to open session. (error 5)
The backup destination could not be set"
What can be done to fix this issue so that I can use the NAS as the backup destination for the Time Machine backups?
