DLO symantec backup exec 2012
i have the same problem "your files are protected with exceptions "

yes , I tried to uninstalling and reinstalling Symantec Backup Exec for many times, but the same probleme "Proctected with Exceptions" status occurs.
whene a user logs into another laptop on the network, there are no exceptions in the status. Other users, can log into this laptop and there are no exceptions in their status. It is only the combination of this user on his own laptop.

Hi,
Can you stop the windows firewall service on that machine and see if it makes any difference?. Also, stop the AV on the machine and test. Since other users not getting the exception error on the same machine, this could be something related to this user's locally cached profile or missing some group permissions?
For testing, give the user admin rights, reinstall DLO agent on the user's machine with that permission. Once installed the DLO agent, remove the admin rights.

Not sure what else causing the issue here but it's worth to log a case with Symantec (i think Veritas is providing support now a days).

Do you have full admin rights on the media server where DLO is installed? The user's account must be a domain account. Have you tried to re-install DLO agent on the machine?
