IBM IMM2 Clearing Active Events
I have 2x IBM IMM2s which are reporting that a disk has been disabled due to a reported fault. This was a legitimate and real error over the weekend and the disks in question have been replaced, and the arrays rebuilt.
The Megaraid/LSI software reports no issues and if you look at the storage devices within the IMM2, they all report as normal and online with no errors. If I click on the disk that had failed a few days ago (and has since been replaced), it still shows as the disk has been disabled with a date stamp of after the replacement.
I have upgraded the firmware on both IMM2s to 6.20 and restarted them numerous times. It appears this error is 'sticky'? It is of course reporting into our SNMP management software a critical fault when there is none.
The machines in question are IBM x3500 M4 and IBM x3650 M4.

Andy, yes I would have rathered do it online.
Odd it didn't clear the event istelf assuming the disk was swapped hot.
ASKER
Yes it was swapped hot.

Seems a little...extreme to have to reboot the OS to clear an out of band alarm.
