the issue while the VM might be the one comprimised, it exposes your entire lan...... based on the access it has,<br />

i.e. if a person in an office building who has access to one location only is persuaded by an external individual to let them in, other could be compromised i.e. upon return a week or so later, with excuse I met with, and forgot ......
