Ive read about that type of solution but my preference is to use the GUI to input the exact name I want. It did work for a while and then randomly stopped. I'm going to mess around with my sysprep and see if that has something to do with it.

My WDS setup has decided to stop setting the Computer Name. It is always deploying using the same name, and not randomizing it like some expect. <br />

In reviewing the unattend.xml file, I don't see any reference to OSDcomputername which seems like it could be a problem. <br />

Computer name value not being passed along to PC being Deployed (MDT, WDS)
