SQL server data tools for VS 2017
hi,
it seems that MS only release SQL server data tools for VS 2015 so that we can admin and develop even SSIS project within VS 2015, how about VS 2017?
it seems we don't have this option to develop SSIS package inside VS2017, am I right?

from VS, file - new - project
then select Templates - Business Intelligence ...
do you have that menu?

also, you can install VS 2015 and 2017 on the same machine...

do you think if install VS 2015 and VS 2017 on the same computer, it will give this problem.

did you install SQL Data Tools?
that menu appears after installing SSDT
I guess, when you have VS2015 + VS2017, it will be visible on both...
or, it may ask when you install, not sure...

what I found out in 3 x PC I install with this configuration is , cloud explorer doesnt' work any more, when I expand the data lake project, the VS 2017 will keep asking me to upgrade data lake component , but that upgrade is for vs 2015 only!

can you try if cloud explorer for data lake can work as expected?
I can see if I use Vs 2015 with cloud explorer alone it works, once I install VS 2017, it doesn't works any more.

yes, but it seems not applicable ! how can you manage the SSIS package from within VS 2017, how about manage AS in VS 2017.
I just want to test if it can manage the SSIS and AS component inside my SQL 2014 DB.
