Adobe Acrobat 8 Std Windows 10

Hi

I have installed Adobe Acrobat 8 on a Windows 10 machine. The install went fine but when I try and open Adobe Acrobat 8 it crashes straight away. I initially thought this was a compatibility issue between the old Acrobat 8 and the new Windows 10 so I set the flag to run in compatibility mode as Windows XP SP3. This made no difference. So I decided to uninstall Adobe Acrobat 8 but I am having issues with the uninstall too. The uninstall seems to freeze at the very start. I have literally left ti for a couple of hours and it still remains on the same spot

Any suggestions on how to remove Adobe Acrobat 8 without having to do it manually. A removal tool would be great or is that wishful thinking

Thanks in advance

a simple way is doing a restore to a previous date, when it was not installed
Yes, maybe that can lead to success. http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html holds only cleaners for version 9 and higher.
