ACER ASPIRE U5-710 TOUCH SCREEN DOES NOT WORK ANY LONGER AFTER WINDOWS 10 CREATOR UPDATE

I installed windows 10 creator upadate in my ACER ASPIRE U5-710 TOUCH SCREEN. Everything went well but the touch screen which is not working anylonger.
In the attempt to fix the problem, I tried in sequence:
1) windows hardware troubleshooting - no result
2)  I searched for the HID  touch screen driver in device manager  but there is not a HID touch screen driver; by the way,  all drivers worked  properly and were up to date (no yellow sign)
3) I downloded and installed all drivers suggested by Acer, in particular VGA drivers and Chipset , hoping that the touchscreen was embedded there - still no result
4) lost any hope. Ii decided to return to Windows 10 and I disinstalled Creator Update by using the proper windows function to return to the  previous  system -   but now the touchscreen did not work even in the  old system
5) so I  contacted ACER and they were only able to suggest me to restore the whole system to the initial condition by using the ACER recovery utility, wich the kind of suggestion that even my  5 year old  nephew  could give me. Yes, of course, this would probably work, but I want to find a true solution.
Is there anyone who coudl suggest a possible solution or at least something to try that I did not  think of?  Thank you in advance

Hi,

first, thanks to everybody.
Alex, unfurtunately the monitor appears to be  a generic plug and play monitor, whose driver is up-to-date. Initially I suspected that there was  another monitor driver, which got uninstalled,  but I coudl not find anytrace of it, neither I found any piece of information online about the hardware used by Acer to assemble ASPIRE U5-710 TOUCH SCREEN. Needless to say that I disabled and enabledit several times the monitor, but without any result.
Experienced member, good suggestion. I have, however, a question. No problem to uninstall the generic plug and play monitor, I will try and I will let you know. As per the Video device, there are two drivers, both updated by me in the attempt to solve the problem (without any effect), 1) Intel(R) HD Graphics 530; and 2) NVIDIA GeForce 940M. Where should the display be? Should I uninistall both or only one of them?
MASQ, I do not post the screenshot because it is in Italian and I doubt that it coudl make any sense to you. However I tried different tablet settings in my various attempts to solve the problem,  but none of them changed the issue.  FYI, I also tried to use Creator Update touch screen features, alwasy without results.

Alex, got it but I cannot find the right driver. Searching under properties in the Generic PnP Monitor driver, I found the hardware ID, which is MONITOR\ACRF132. I was sure it was done. Not  at all. I could not find any specific driver  for this monitor. So, I could uninstall the Generic PnP Monitor driver and then scan for hardware changes, but I have no new driver to force over the current one. Do you have any idea where I could find this f****d driver? Do you know what manufacturer is ACRF  (if this acronym stays for a manufacturer)?

Here you are the monitor specs. I was aware of what you said about USB and I double checked USB inputs under HID heading in device management,  I have 4 USB inputs, and no hidden drivers. I first disabled and enalbled all in sequence, without any effect. Then I uninstalled and installed all of them in sequence. No result again.
Searching  in system information, I discovered that  the HID touch screen driver "capimg.sys" is stopped. Any suggestion how could it be started again? It does not seem corrupted, only stopped.

Cool, well done Emilio!
Does the Monitor detail look any different now?
Does the USB Touch Driver port show up?

Also thanks for a share in the points, I'm not sure I helped that much but it's certainly been a useful journey (and more of a challenge than I usually get from my neighbour!)
Monitor details are the same but, out of the blue, under the HID heading, now it appears the HID compliant touch screen driver (which in principle should not  be present in Acer Aspire device manager).

I agree with you that it is difficult to elicit any lesson from this story, except never give up and never follow the easy suggestion to erase everything and start again from scratch. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
