Exchange 2013: Unable to add DAG member ?
Hi,
I'm using Exchange Server 2013 Standard edition and have just successfully created the DAG from Exchange Control Panel.
When I got to manage database availability group membership steps, I am unable to add my first DAG member which only runs Mailbox server role ?
I have checked that the Failover-Clustering feature has been successfully installed in the server above.
I have in total 5x mailbox servers running in production Data Center, so I cannot have it offline or rebooted due to the global users is using it continuously.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I would like to add one more thing here, seems you have not assigned an IP address statically to LAN Card. DAG setup is detecting dynamic IP address for this member server.
However restart will be required as pre-requisite to complete Cluster services installation.

Hi Amit,
I've created IP-less DAG this morning.
But somehow I can't add one node that is already running as my mailbox server in production environment.
The entire 5 servers are running with static IP address.
I can't add the first one.
There is nothing mention about rebooting the server when creating the DAG.

No you did not get it, actually there is nowhere mentioned to reboot servers after creating DAG, reboot is required when you add a node and that node has cluster services prior or installed at this time so needed reboot. So reboot is required for DAG member which you are adding now (First server)

Ah I see,
so for the 2nd, 3rd up to the 5th nodes, no reboot is required ?
