That should work.

Try Repairing QB.  Open Control Panel, Programs and Features, go to QuickBooks and Repair. Restart afterward and check.

I had to re-install the OS  <-- Also make sure Windows and, in particular, .NET Framework are all up-to-date. Big updates 3 days ago.

Try the following (in order below).

1. Uninstall QuickBooks, restart the computer, install again and check.

2. Try a new, test Windows User Profile. Log into the new Windows Profile, and test QuickBooks. Office and QuickBooks are both sensitive to Windows profile errors.

2. The Windows reinstall may have gone wrong.

Go to the Media Creation Link

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Click on Upgrade to Windows 10 (even if Windows 10 is running), click on the Download button, select Open (Run) but NOT Save. It is possible you may need to go to the download location and run the program - it depends on exactly what MCL does (it changes from time to time). Allow the program to run. Allow drivers to update. Then select Keep Everything
