I am not sure I know the difference between the 2? onenote 2016 and Microsoft one notebook .They are short cuts in onedrive folder in C Drive .Whay cant they be deleted and still keep the original copies 6 note books on my computer?

Please clarify which One Note you are using. The two are not the same. <br />

The One Drive folder in your C: Drive is a copy of the online version. So if the notes are on One Drive On line, do not delete them. Shortcuts do not normally need to be deleted.

There is Microsoft One Note and there is Office 2016 One Note. They are different. <br />
