Hi,

right  now need a study on any limitation on Oracle Golengate replication and MS SQL AOG for business case that need to setup 2 x site,  active active (not multi master). Then we try to POC on which one is better to use in terms of stability.

how about DB2's active active solution? any idea?

please present your idea.

Hi!

The DB2 active active solution that is best suited for OLTP is called DB2 PureScale and requires paid license.

Tomas,

any architecture design diagram, use case doc ?

also please help to answer the MysQL cluster quetsion.

KV seems  telling me MySQL active active , which is multi master, is diff from NDB cluster.

if I want to test active active , multi master on how stable it is , then which LATEST package should I dl and install?

please suggest.  I need a step by step guide for MySQL package to set the whole thing up.

Hi!

DB2 PureScale is a database cluster architecture feature included in DB2 Enterprise Server Edition, DB2 Workgroup Server Edition, and DB2 Advanced Enterprise Server Edition and not a third party solution.

Sorry, I don't have any experience in MS SQL AOG so I can't cover difference between Oracle RAC, DB2 PureScale and MS SQL AOG.
Oracle RAC and DB2 PureScale have many things in common but as always there are several different features that you can read about in the corresponding online manuals and that needs to be evaluated according to your business needs.

From my point of view I favor DB2 PureScale ( although Oracle  RAC has advantage in some areas)  mostly for performance reasons regarding some workload scenarios I have seen and worked with.
