Delete the rule and then delete the folder after backing up emails to inbox or any other folder if needed.

Thanks,
By Default Exchange will not create any folders in Exchange , what is that folder name, also check the outlook rules ans see if any rule is routing the email to that folder which will clarify that it was created purposely

The folder name is "Unwanted". There are no rules whatsoever on client outlook. I also logon to the web client and that same folder is there.
Thank you.

First enable mailbox audit. That can help you to trace down, if it reoccurs again in future. For rule, use MFCMapi tool and check for any corrupt rule. Remove it, if you found any corrupt rule. If user don't want this folder, better you delete it. Finally, I advise you to move this mailbox to another DB. With mailbox move lot of issue get fixed.
