Free UP Space on C SSD Drive

what is the easiest way to free up space on my C SSD Drive(128 gb actual 99 GB) . I only have ~20gb of free space which is limiting me of putting pictures on C Drive for my webshots screensaver.I do not want to mess things up or compromise the integrity of things . Money is an issue I can't replace the C Drive at this this time .What things can I uninstall remove safely without causing problems?

Most programs (unless you have a very large number of programs) can fit in a 128 GB C: Drive and I recommend you keep programs on drive C:

Now make folders on Drive D for your photos, documents and such like.

Keep your Users folder, but move data from this folder to Drive D.

You can point your Users folder to Drive D but that is for experienced users and I do not recommend it at this time.

Set up data folders on Drive D and point applications and yourself to Drive D.

Programs on C:, Data on D:
For comparison, I have a Windows 7 Virtual Machine with Office 2010, Adobe, WinZip, and a bunch of other programs, but very little data. It all fits in less than 70 GB, so what I suggested above works and I have it working.

Before assuming the same, do you actually have a secondary drive?

ASKER

I have 2TB D Drive
So keep all your programs (only) on C: and move your data to D:

You can move the location of your Users folders to D: but please Be Careful. If you are now well organized and do not remember these things, do not change the location of your Users folders.

Just move the data to another location on D:
