Total Sale from dates (for Feb month only) without creating extra column for Feb

Hi,

There are two columns Date and Sale. I want total of Sale for the month of Feb from date column, without creating extra column for Feb. Also without Array function. Is it possible?

File is attached.

Thanks,

San.

Hi Sanjay,

You can create Pivot Table. If possible, please upload your sample workbook.
Here's an example of sales data grouped by months

Here's a link to a tutorial to do this

Or an alternative to make it more dynamic:

=SUMIFS($G$4:$G$18,$D$4:$D$18,">="&DATEVALUE("01-"&$D$21&"-"&$C$21),$D$4:$D$18,"<="&EOMONTH(DATEVALUE("01-"&$D$21&"-"&$C$21),0))

Add a reference to the Year in cell C21 like in attached file.

Thanks

PivotTable based on your data with a button to refresh the data.
