How do I download 50 folders from iCloud

Using Finder

I can go to iCloud and see the 50 folders.

I need to download these onto a OS X system for local storage but cannot find an option?

Anyone know how I might do this?

yes, i want to remove them from iCloud
You simply drag and drop the files and subfolders from the iCloud folder to a different folder such as your documents folder.

cheers Eoin!

I will try that now.

btw, this whole concept of "documents in iCloud" they are really stored in the Cloud and locally?
iCloud works like Dropbox and Google Drive and OneDrive.
You have a folder or folders on your PC which are replicated onto the Internet and other devices can also see/share/add to these folders. but there has to be a "master" file stored somewhere.
With iCloud it is possible to have files online which are not copied to all devices and only loaded on demand .. particularly on mobile devices such as iPads and iPhones but by default iCloud copies the content to all PCs on the same account.

Thanks Eoin.

I knew Dropbox and Google Drive stored locally but I did not know about the hidden folder of iCloud!

Thanks for clearing that up.
