Does anyone have a good recommendation for a reliable power backup?

I need to have a reliable power backup for my network server (and, if possible, for my workstations as well, although not as important).  I need some type of power backup that will not only keep my system running for at least a couple hours during a power outage, but also with the capability to be able to be remotely restarted (if necessary) after the power comes back on, if the power outage exceeds the battery backup time-frame.  My situation is going to be that I will be out-of-state and connecting remotely, working with a simple laptop, but need to have access to my computer network (approx. 3,000 miles away) for my daily work as well as maintaining a remote access environment for my users!  If anyone has any suggestions for me, I would appreciate hearing them.  TIA, Jim

We use APC UPS units for all our servers across all our clients. The units work well.

No "ordinary" UPS will go for several hours under load, so you need to configure for automatic shutdown.

If you need overnight / 8 hours of backup, you would want a local contractor to quote you.

Sounds good.  I have some cheaper APS BackUPS power backups, but they don't seem to catch a quick "brown-out" AND they also have to be manually reset after the power comes back on.  Do you have any of these types of issues with this unit you recommended?
BackUP UPS are not "real" commercial. That is why. Get the commercial units that will look after themselves.
I've been using UPS for small and large businesses for over 10 years and never had issues with brown outs as you mentioned. APC and Tripplite were the two main brands that I've used and neither had this issue.
APC and Tripplite again are the choices. What about an extended power outage? We went with a Natural Gas Generator which was better than Squarespace where they carried containers of diesel up to the roof where the generator was located on the roof (Hurricane Sandy) until power was restored.
Thanks to everyone for their input.  Maybe I've just been lucky, but I've never experienced a power outage for more than 8 hours (even when Hurricane Sandy hit and I'm only 1.5 miles from the Atlantic) so I'm not too concerned about extended outages.  I've been more concerned with little "brownouts" that are just enough to force my server and cable modem to reboot.  Now I know that I need to invest in some real heavy-duty commercial type power backups like the unit Thomas recommended.  Thanks again to everyone!
