Hard Disk not large enough for Windows updates

I've got a cheap tablet pc with a 14GB disk drive. Windows 10 updates are failing because it needs at least another 8gb. I can live with the message that pops up from time saying why Windows can't be updated. But is Windows 10 going to lock me out at some point because the updates haven't been installed?

It's not going to lock you out but your tablet will be vulenearble and can easily be hijacked.

You can can get the SD card and just move the patch installation to that or move some other files to create space on the main disk drive.

Thanks for the reply. There's nothing on this notebook apart from Windows 10. So there's nothing I can move..... unless you can tell me that I can move part of the windows installation. Is there a way to tell Windows 10 to download it's updates to another drive prior to them being installed?

If that 14 Gb disk size is accurate then it is time to update (if possible) the disk or SSD card.

You basically are going to be squashed for room whatever you do.
Ok thanks for the input guys. Shaun's suggestion seems to be about the best. So i'll award the points to him.
