Excel/ Protection

I wanna save my user ID and password in excel, but i dont want people to see my password. I wish to convert password to ****** .

You may simply hide the whole column for passwords. :) no formula required.

Might be helpful if you shared more info on what you are trying to accomplish.  You can just mask a cell with a custom format, but that wouldn't hide it from the formula bar if they clicked on the cell.  Another approach uses a text box to mask the password even as being typed.  Or if you just need it for automation and macros you could embed it in VBA code, harder to see that way too.  Really need more context on what you are trying to accomplish.
