What is the reason for the 500 Internal Server Error and how to fix it?

Hello,
I am confused about this error I am getting, although the code I didn't change anything at the code and two days ago everything just ran perfectly.

Can anyone help me out with this one and suggest any solution?

Are you sure your method in servlet gets all the objects it needs ?

check what is required in:
at com.mhp.sdac.cockpit.service.CockpitServiceImpl.getTicketListFor(CockpitServiceImpl.java:90) ~[classes/:na]

seems like something empty is being passed to the method.
try to use debug to see what actually happens in this line of code.

If you have a backup of this server, I'd recommend restoring from that. I had this error a few months back, we use Rollback Rx Server, and I restored the machine from the backup and it worked perfectly.

I don't think that it is a problem with *this* application at all. From the stack trace it appears that this application uses RestTemplate to make a web service call to some other service. And I believe that it is this *other* service that is having this Internal Server Error, and this application is just reporting that error condition.

If you can give us more information on the architecture of this system, it may help.
