iphone 6 damaged cannot trust this computer
I cannot see anything at the iphone screen, Apple has declared the phone officially dead and we have a new one. The phone was slammed with a trunk lid, in case that makes a difference.
Ultimately I want to get all the data off of the phone, i.e. pictures. We thought it was backing up to icloud but apparently not because the pictures are not there.
The phone still comes on because when I connect it to a computer it comes up with Trust this device. Problem is I cannot enter anything on the phone to trust the computer and I have no visibility to the phone.
Is there anyway past the "Trust this Device"

Here is another suggestion from the Apple site....
I connected the USB keyboard to the iPhone using the lightning to USB connector.
I typed in my passcode to unlock the iPhone, which allowed me to access the phone again!
I connected my iPhone to my Mac to establish the backup. Unfortunately my iPhone requested me to trust the connection which was not possible due to the brocken screen!
I unplugged the connection to my Mac, connected again the USB keyboard to access my iPhone.
I activiated Siri and requested her to turn on voiceover and bluetooth on my iPhone.
Having voiceover activated, the iPhone told me which app was activated.
Using my USB keyboard (arrows left/right and alt+ctr+space) I navigated to settings > bluetooth > to connect my wireless keyboard
Now I connected my iPhone again to my Mac and used the wireless keyboard to finally confirm the connection between my brocken iPhone and my Mac
I openend iTunes and could sync my iPhone.

Edward, How do you do all that when you have no visibility on the phone. I cannot see anything on the screen
It looks like when you hit the home button till Siri activates and you say "open phone" that authorizes it as per link I provided.

No, no luck. I left the phone on for a couple of days and some of the screen became visible. But I can see very little of what is on the screen. When I try to unlock it, either using the keyboard or the touch screen, it starts duplicating a number and goes wild. It might enter the number once or it get stuck and enters the number continuously.
Without being able to unlock the screen I can go no farther

You need to replace the LCD Screen and Digitizer of your iPhone 6.

But, Apple Store will not help you and you need to locate a repair shop to do the task.

If it's a newer phone be advised getting this repair done at an unauthorized repair shop will void any warranty. I got my daughter repaired at the Apple Store or should I say replaced.
The problem is Apple has declared the phone officially dead and of course there will be no warranty and will not help you to fix it.
But, I am not sure whether they will help if you pay for the repair cost.
