Microsoft SideNotes explanation

Hello Experts,

I have been pretty impressed with Microsoft 'SideNotes', see image. It allows you to comment/annotate from certain websites. However, there isn't any information on how to manage the notes. For example, I can view all the notes I've ever taken, however I can't delete them, or prevent them from being shared.

Can someone shed some light on SideNotes please.

Please note, this isn't the same as OneNote.

I think we're talking about the same thing. In Microsoft Edge Browser, I can click on the Add Notes icon and then write, comment, or do a screen clip of a web page?

This is a feature of One Note. You can select where the notes are saved, which notebook and section. You can view them in OneNote where there is a link back to the original webpage. You can delete them and they are not shared at all. If you share them, you share the entire notebook in which they are stored.

I did a search on the Microsoft Website and the Side Note/Web Notes are described as a feature of OneNote... The only other Microsoft thing I ever recall having the same name was a Windows Vista/7 widget for digital post-its.
