Broken Exchange 2013 /ecp after CU17 upgrade
I recently upgraded to Exchange 2013 CU17 from CU 15. The upgrade ran OK and all Exchange services are running fine and server is OK in its functions. When I attempt to access /ecp it throws a .NET 4.0 runtime error saying it cannot load Microsoft.Exchange.Common, Version=15.0.0.0 or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. I have deleted and restored the /ecp virtual directory with no problems. I suspect that the missing file may be located somewhere in ...\v15 subdirectories. How can I get this running? I have pre and post CU17 backups of server and access to backups of another CU17 server. Stack trace: SHows File not found exception: Could not load file or assembly ; Microsoft.Exchange.Common, Version 15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublickeyToken=31bf3856ad3 64e35' or one of its dependencies. ConfigurationErrorsExcepti on: shows the same. Any thoughts?

Is your .NET on a supported version for CU17? Check you support matrix for your version: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff728623(v=exchg.150).aspx
I believe you have installed the dot net update that has caused this
CU16 onwards you must upgrade .net to .NET 4.62. So verify and install accordingly.

Don't install the dot net 4.7 has caused the issue

Thanks. Net 4.6.2 was installed because upgrading from CU15. Net 4.7 not installed per Microsoft recommendations. Fix was to copy web.config from C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess\ec p from a working CU17 install. Also copied the same file to web.comfig.bak so I had a good backup just in case. That was a step Valentina Perez was going to attempt when it got to 3AM in France and she had to bail and I didn't have another running CU17. So I went ahead and converted another server and did the copy. Worked!!! Thanks Valentina....:-)
