Is the server corrupted now? for that purpose you are restoring from backup? Backup taken with AES encription can't be recovered. Try with 'CAPS ON', check keyboard etc to enter the correct password.<br />

If the server is fine and you are testing the backup then better to take the backup again with correct encription.

One think that i did notice all my servers that is 2008R2 it doesn't accept the password all 2012 and 2016 versions is fine
