Computer-to-Computer Backup Replacement for CrashPlan

CrashPlan for Home is being discontinued.  I greatly depend on its ability to do computer-to-computer backups across the Internet, as opposed to cloud-based backups.  Unfortunately, this feature is not supported in CrashPlan's new "Small Business" offering.  What alternative solution can anyone recommend?  Ideally, it would:

  • Automatically back up the data on one of my computers and send it encrypted across the Internet to another one of my computers located on a different network.
  • Be easy to set up and maintain.

Thanks for pointing out GoodSync.  I may give them a shot.  It looks like it does what we need, but I'm worried about how "non-user friendly" some of its reviewers say it is.  My end users are not computer savvy, so I would need to set it all up for them and have it work automatically in the background without their involvement.  If you or anyone else has any other suggestions, I am all ears.

There are a lot of sync and sharing services out there. For personal use, Tonido is free and has been around a long time. Their paid product for business, FileCloud, is expensive, a minimum of $480 per year that covers 5 users and 1 TB of storage in their cloud.

The problem with a sync service is that you don't get the protections that backup software delivers. If and end user messes up your files, they get messed up by the next sync.

But you could frequently backup your main store of synced files using a free program like Fbackup. You should be backing up your computer  anyway, right?
You may want to look in https://2brightsparks.onfastspring.com/ I have being using it to back up to the cloud but maybe they have pc to pc you can asked them thy respond quickly
