Virtual Load Balancer on VMWare?

Hi

We normally install our web application on AWS. It has 1x AWS Elastic Load Balancer and 3x Windows Web Servers. We use the Load Balancer (obviously) to spread traffic across the 3 web servers.

A new client wants to install our web application on their own VMWare environment. They say that they don't have any virtual/physical load balancers.

We don't have much experience of VMWare.

Does it have a virtual load balancer as part of the default environment or do they need to purchase something?

Thanks.

Hi. Thanks for the link. I'm unclear what version they have but will ask. They have commented about maybe using NSX based load balancers - does that provide any clues?

Also, is this "Gateway Services : Load Balancing" available in all versions? https://www.vmware.com/uk/cloud-services/using-vcloud-air/tutorials/introduction-to-gateway-services-load-balancing.html
Until we know what version their running giving you an accurate answer could be problematic, if they are running V-Cloud they'll have that.

Hi, You could even try IIS Application Request Routing (ARR) or 3rd party  tools like Kemp free load Master to publish web servers.
