Glyph Studio 2T blinking red light

Running a Win7/Pro/64. Have two HDs attached, one a Glyph Studio 2T. Noticed recently the blue power light on Glyph has twice switched to a red/pink blinking light during work. Manual says indicates disk problem, but even in red I can access disk and files. When I turn off power button, then turn on light is blue again. Cannot reproduce conditions under which it twice had turned blinking red. Two notes: Glyph is a USB 3.0 connection. Computer if a Dell 980 with USB 2.0 ports. (System will not accept a 3.0 card). Have a G drive 2T 3.0 also connected and is running fine. Also disk is shared on a two-machine intranet. Its NTFS with only 62GB data on it.

if the problem happens when connected to usb 2 only - then the system does not supply enough output power on the usb - that is max 5 V at 0.5 A = 2.5 W MAX
you need to use a pôwered usb hub then

Thanks, nobus. Makes sense. In this case, all my ext HDs have their own power supply.

Glyph sent me an RMA. Drive still on warranty. If they can't make it perfect, they said, they'll send a new one. Thanks for taking an interest in the question.
