Is it better to do new band creation prep with staff notation, or tab?

Hi
I recently tied to start another band,
and connected with a very experienced drummer on craigslist, she drummed for the Peppers in Raleigh when Chad was in rehab.
I attended that show and remembered her well, for an elderly female drummer to be with them.

Anyway, I Messed it all up. I said initially, that of all the 40+ songs I had written, we could try 'em out at my house.
I suggested I put them all to sheet music (regular staff notation) as she had some neighbors interested in playing with us.
Anyway, I couldn't find time to do the songs justice on sheet. I thought staff would be good, for the melody being solid there,
Maybe with bass notes, and chord/tab signatures. It really infuriated her and she jumped ship.
For my piano songs, sheet music would be ideal. - as I can sing Phantom front to back, and have the full score from my voice / choirmaster coach.
To connect with new musicians/people, I don't want them to turn up and I have nothing on sheet, to prove I am not a clown. I want a few dozen songs on sheet.
Do you think competent musicians will be okay with just the full lyrics with chords above the words? In my first band, we just had chords and assumed/learned the melody as we got to know the song.

What is the best play here?
I'm also considering creating the band out of just millennials, as nothing else has any traction these days. Just for them to play my music. I can be a semi- manager. Would that revolt millennials? I don't care about fame or attention.  I'd just like a lifetime's effort on my own music to be heard. Simple as that.

Thanks
