Thanks the master page idea is good. Its a pain that someone else implemented the SPOL solution and didnt give any training and the users have developed a bad taste for it and now want the traditional route.

I am migrating &nbsp;files and folders from sharepoint online to onpremise file server, once migrated cutover is complete i want to disable all access to SPOL sites, i know i can put in deny permissions or remove permissions. Is there a simpler way to this ?
