Apple Mail setup for IMAP San.rr.com

Anyone know the SMTP authentication for San.RR.com?   I'm also not well versed in Apple Mail client so I may be doing something wrong.  I referenced below but I don't see SMTP authentication... My options are External, Kerberos, NTLM, MD5, and Password.  Also, do I need need a IMAP path prefix ?

I thought it would auto configure in Outlook.  Now I'm getting bad credentials message when I confirmed the account credentials for both TWC and iCloud.  I don't understand why this is so difficult on the Mac.

uncheck use secure password and see what the effect is. Your question deals with a different provider than ...

You have to untangle whose credentials you are tying.

you are setting up two accounts at the same time and that makes it difficult to differentiate.

If your primary use is the icloud account, with the requirement to use twc.com as outgoin, you can not tell the outgoing mail.twc.com to use your incoming credentials as they are for two separate accounts, incoming is icloud outgoing is twc.
Ok, I gave up the iCloud after my client said she uses that email as a junk account.  There's an interesting thread on the topic though if I ever have to revisit this problem.

Regarding TWC, it works fine on Outlook Windows.  It fails to authenticate on Outlook and Apple Mail for Mac.  It does not autoconfigure.  I used password as an authentication method.  No go on Mac for the mail settings below...

mail.twc.com  143 none
mail.twc.com 587 TLS
*use password as the authentication method

I fiddled around with the ports more using your resource link from apple.  Port 993 incoming works for Apple Mail.  It's 143 for Outlook 2016 for Mac.  I couldn't get Outlook 2011 to send with the same settings but documented the fun here.
thanks
