Roaming Profiles using DFS

We have used DFS to sync roaming profiles between two server.  There is one server at each branch.  We still have one branch trying to pull the roaming profiles from the server at the other branch.  Is there any way to stop this from happening and what is the best way to do it?  The servers are Windows Server 2012 R2 and the workstations are Windows 7 Pro.  Any help would be appreciated.

Just an added note.  We have the profiles set to \\domain.local\profiles

Just so you know, DFS is not designed to handle roaming profiles and simultaneous access of files from multiple physical locations if the DFS namespace points to multiple servers. From https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj649079(v=ws.11).aspx :
If the file share uses DFS Namespaces, the DFS folders (links) must have a single target to prevent users from making conflicting edits on different servers.

I've attempted to put a similar solution into production before with disastrous results. When users moved from one site to another, their computers would have a conflict with the files on the second server hosting their profile and it ended up deleting all of their documents.

Branch Cache is a better solution for providing access to files at multiple locations.
I have been reading about Branchcache and it says on the TechNet website that Windows 7 Pro will not support SMB protocol as far as the Branchcache client.  SMB is what would be used for profiles.  Am I wrong in this thinking?  Or is there a way to do it with pro?
Hello Adam.  Not sure if you looked at my last comment.  Just wondering if we can still make it work with Windows 7 Pro.

We did build different sites with a DC at each site.  That did work.  They seem to be logging in very quickly now.  Thank you for your advice.
