How to configure CGMiner with Butterfly labs Bitcoin Miner

I have looked through several guides and instructions but can't seem to find an easy to use guide or explanation of how to use and configure mining with CGMiner. The dependencies listed on the CGMiner page are not able to be found. I need assistance getting this to work properly with our Miner.

OS: Kali Linux
Bitcoin MIner: Standalone Butterfly Labs SC
CGMiner (as recommended by our pool): https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer

We already have the pool and wallet information set up.
Side Note: The pool also allows use of BFGMiner (http://bfgminer.org/)

At $1200 a year that would be an expensive hobby.  But ... cheaper than two hours of flying a surplus Russian MIG.

Side note:  I have three of those, plus a free coffee cup and many happy memories of undelivered product.  With experience cometh wisdom.
I know it's considered expensive for electricity, but we don't pay for electricity. How can we get this working?
Before we pursue this, you understand that you will only make $ 22.74 at most in the first year?
Thanks, I just compiled a 2013 version of CGMiner with the --enable-bflsc switch and everything worked.
