I have a single DC (call it DC1) with W2K8R2Std. Domain &amp;&nbsp;forest functional levels are W2K3. Several years ago we ran adprep for Windows 2012 on DC1 so the schema version is at 56. I am not sure of the domain &amp;&nbsp;forest versions. We removed or never added the 2012 server as a DC because it crashed or something. Now I want to add a second W2K8R2 DC to the domain. Do I run adprep on the second server from W2K8R2 which has a schema version of 47, or should I run adprep on the second server using the Windows 2012 disk? Can 2 DCs with the same OS operate and replicate properly with different schema numbers? Thanks for the assistance.
