Office 365 & Windows XP

Have a client who is still using Windows XP on four Workstations.

Last week all four lost their ability to use a third party Office 365 Sharepoint addon called Zee Drive.  (Product maps a drive letter to Sharepoint Site).

Zee Drive appears to load normally and does map the drive letter, but XP complains that there's no data and the drive needs to be formatted.

I also noticed that IE8 now is unable to load the Office 365 Web Portal:

https://login.microsoftonline.com

Comes back with a Page Cannot be Displayed error.  Page can be loaded in either Chrome or Firefox.

Did something change in the last week with Office 365 and their support for the unsupported Windows XP OS?

Thanks,

Nathan

Hi,

Microsoft no longer releasing any updates for XP now as MS ended it's support. Probably Office365 updates or IE updates would have broken it's ability to connect from XP machines. Perform an IE reset and see if it's able to access?
You need to upgrade the XP machines. Support is fast falling away and XP can no longer perform business functions.

Thanks for your comments.

Agree with both of you regarding XP being a dead end.  You're preaching to the coverted.  Just curious if there's one last band aid that can be applied to give them time to get new hardware placed.

I'm assuming something relating to TLS or insecure ciphers has changed given that IE won't even load the page.

Firefox might work, but I think Chrome support has dropped as well.

Thanks to everyone.  Will test the browser and also try the registry hack.
Thanks and glad to help.
Keep in mind - and remind your clients - that Microsoft is likely NOT testing Office 365 with XP anymore because it's out of support.  Changes are happening all the time (it's a WEB BASED service!) As such problems like this could creep up any time - and be completely unresolvable.  They NEED to move to something newer.  NOW.
