how can I test a notebook battery of an HP ProBook 6555b using a digital multimeter?
Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,
As part of a string of troubleshooting strategies, I am wondering how I can test a notebook battery of an HP ProBook 6555b using a digital multimeter. Will there be numbers on the battery which can be used as a frame of reference when testing? For instance, the AC adapter or battery re-charger indicates the required voltage output, 19.5v, to power the notebook.
Any tips for testing the HP ProBook 6555b notebook battery will greatly be appreciated. Additionally, if there are any multimedia tutorials which can be viewed to help in addressing my question will certainly be welcomed as well.
Thank you
George

Thank you very much for your shared input and resourceful links. Unfortunately, the answer to this question seems to vary some based upon individual perspective. Additionally, I seriously underestimated the complexity of testing a notebook or laptop battery using a digital multimeter as demonstrated within Ramin's link. In order to do it with any degree of confidence would certainly require much practice and knowledge about voltage and resistance testing.
