Force TLS - Connector vs Transport Rule
We have an on prem Exchange 2013 server and our only smart host is our Office 365 account. So, our email server sends mail to O365 to be sent on to the recipient.
We need to force TLS to one of our recipients. I went in to build a connector to do that with. Another tech of ours says, hey, we have a transport rule. Just add the domain to the transport rule.
That got me to thinking, what's the diff in using a transport rule vs using a connector to force TLS? Can someone explain that to me?
Thanks
Cliff
