I had this question after viewing Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion..

Hello,
I have exact the same issue as above. I installed the Windows Service, when tried to Start the Service inside the Services window I received the error message below. I looked at the above link, but it did not help me. Any idea why I am getting this? Please help. Thank you in advance.

what service? what application is this for?
did you look in the event logs for anything further?

The Window service emails a text file in attachment and removes it from the folder. I looked at Event Logs, but did not see any entry related to the error. Any specific events you want me to look at?
