Question on iCloud saving vids, pix, files, etc.

I have iCloud and setup to save images automatically.  Yet my phone is 32gb and my iCloud is 100gb.  I want to by able to move images files vids etc to iCloud and delete from iPhone to make space.  How can we do this?

That is how we have it (what we meant with "I have iCloud and setup to save images automatically")

Ok, let me break itdown as to  what we need:

NOW (Status):
  • My iphone a 32gb device and has 1gb avail for pix & vid we need to take.
  • All my current pix & vid in the iphone are also in the iCoud.
  • We have to take new pix & vids that surpasses the 1gb avail on the device; we need at least need 5gb (note we already deleted apps that was consuming space).

NEED:
How do I delete in the phone the pix & vids (since they are copied in iCloud) in order to make space for the additional pix and pix we need to take?
On my iPhone I go to
Settings
General
Storage & iCloud Usage
Storage > Manage Storage
or
iCloud > Manage Storage

These locations will show you what is taking up the most space on your phone and iCloud.

Post back the information above first.

You need to disable iCloud Photo Library in your iPhone if you want to remove all photos and videos from your iPhones.
How to Delete Photos From iPhone But Not iCloud

Actually, iCloud Photo Library is designed for sharing your photos across your devices. Any changes you make to your photos collection on iPhone, change on your other devices too. If you want to delete photos from iPhone but keep in iCloud, turn off iCloud Photo Library in Settings > iCloud > Photos.

By doing so, you can delete photos from your iPhone but still keep them in iCloud. But you cannot upload new photos to iCloud as disabled iCloud Photo Library on your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud Library again, the photos you deleted from your iPhone will also be removed from iCloud. That’s how iCloud works.

Apple doesn’t offer a direct way to deleted photos from iPhone but keep them in iCloud when iCloud Photo Library is on.
