HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found
Hello Experts.
I have created a share called myshare on my Web Server, however when I try to access the share through the browser I get the error message HTTP Error 404.0, see image.
Can someone let me know how to about fixing this?
I'm running Windows Server 2008
Thanks
Carlton

Try using the ip address rather than localhost

Hi Brian,
I tried the ip address but still no luck
I read somewhere that the problem was with mime, but not sure.
Any more thoughts?
Cheers

Log into the system and see if there is, in fact, a folder at C:\inetpub\wwwroot\myshare . I suspect you'll find there is no folder there, or it is empty (no index.htm, at least), or there is a permissions problem.
"Error (0x80070002) The system can not find the file specified."
"Error (0x80070002) The system can not find the file specified."
Just right-click on the website node in IIS and select [Explore], make sure the folder is actually there.
If the folder is there, make sure it has a default page [index.html, default.html,...etc].
