Upgrade for 8.1 Home to Windows 10 Pro
I have a client who wants to use an existing computer on their domain, of course this system is running the home version of Windows 8.1, what I need to know is whether there is a direct upgrade path from 8.1 home to 10 pro?
Home=Core. 8.1 Core to 10 pro is possible: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/upgrade/windows-10-upgrade-paths

Thanks for the comments everyone, I was aware that we should be able to proceed with the upgrade by upgrading to 10 home and then doing the Pro upgrade from there.
Is there a way to do this without needing to sell the client two seperate upgrade licenses? If we can't then c'est la vie, but if I recommend that path to my client I want to be sure I'm not selling them two licenses when one will do.

If the upgrade is still free, then you just need the one Pro
Using the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant I can confirm that it's still free. I've made the upgrade on Windows7/8.1 machines as recently as 60 days. So you'd only need to sell them the one upgrade license.
"Is there a way to do this without needing to sell the client two seperate upgrade licenses? " - there is, as I told you before and asthe microsoft link has confirmed. Just buy pro and upgrade with a pro setup iso.

I just contacted Microsoft support to clarify and as per them you have to upgrade to Windows 10 Home and then from there to Windows 10 Pro.

Thanks all for your assistance.
Believe it or not, you can go from 8.1 home to 10 pro directly. Well, as you like.
