I have a client that needs to encrypt some of her emails (not all) due to the sensitive nature of what is contained in her emails.<br />
I am looking for either software or an appliance that will do this.<br />
Here are the two caveats that will throw a monkey wrench into the works.<br />
1) &nbsp;She is using gmail but with her own domain. &nbsp;One question is that I heard that gmail uses TSL for encryption so you do not have to encrypt those emails, is that true?<br />
2) &nbsp;She only has two computers that she is using (very small business, but with it's own 2012 R2 server). &nbsp;Obviously she can't afford any appliances that are over $2,000.<br />

Email Encryption

Encryption is the process of encoding messages or information in such a way that only authorized parties can read it. In an encryption scheme, the intended communication information or message, referred to as plaintext, is encrypted using an encryption algorithm, generating ciphertext that can only be read if decrypted. For technical reasons, an encryption scheme usually uses a pseudo-random encryption key generated by an algorithm. An authorized recipient can easily decrypt the message with the key provided by the originator to recipients, but not to unauthorized interceptors.
