"This page can't be displayed" message for my Website on IE 11 using Windows 7
In testing compatibility for older browsers, I am running into an issue with trying to access my site using Internet Explorer 11 and Windows 7. (Yes, I know it's a really old system, but you'd be surprised how many of our users still have those old machines).
I want to put up a message that tells them our site will not work with that old of a browser, but I can't even get to the site without getting the "This page can't be displayed" message. We have the server locked down pretty tight and I'm sure that's the issue. Is there any setting that can be changed (e.g. .htaccess, etc). that will allow a user with an older browser to be redirected either to a different site or to a different, customized message?
My site is: https://chloedog.com. Thanks.

I don't know if any changes have been made to the site since OP posted, but I'm able to load the site fine with IE 11 on Windows 7.

I have not made any changes but on my particular machine it doesn't work. My guess is that there is something unique to my computer. Not sure what I can do about it at this point.
And since a person never makes it to my site, I have no way of knowing how many I'm loosing before they even arrive. With IE browsers being used so little, it probably isn't huge numbers.
I will continue to try to find answers but any additional insight is welcomed.

Cfourkays: Your stats are similar with one project we are working on - the majority are on IE because that's what the machine came with.
When you say, "built-in IE repair" can you tell me what you are referring to? I've tried all kinds of things to get this test machine of mine working and nothing helps.
Also, is there anything that can be done on the "server" side to help people who get that message?
