Thanks my query is slightly different, although the solution in the link works it still adds some challenges for applications. My aim is to have one domain and I am trying to figure out the best way of doing this, the ADMT tool seems a good option from a user perspective but I am unclear what happens to all PC's joined to the domain? Do I simply migrate the users from contoso to traders then place a member server for traders in site site A and join all client machines to traders.local? I am assuming there is an easier way ! : &nbsp;)

I have two active directories, one called contoso.local (100 users) on site A and another called traders.local (300 users) on site B. I have a hardware based VPN between the two sites.
