Confused about email encryption
Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before but i want to know the process for email encryption.
I have an email cert from Comodo which is installed on my Mac (using Outlook 2011 / Office 365), i believe that the recipient needs to have a certificate too? What sort of certificate do they need and how do we exchange our certificates in the first place?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but i really dont know the process for this?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks,
Andrew

it seems a right pain in the you know whats!
With Windows users we have the option of using ESET email encryption which for the recipient is much easier as all it involves is that they know a password and have a small reader client installed on their machines, is there anything similar for Macs does anyone know?
Thanks
Andrew

Prior to sending an encrypted email, we would need to have exchanged the public part of our certificates.
So basically you cant send encrypted email without the intended recipient having gone through a failry complex process of getting, installing and then exchanging a certificate?
Thanks
